Scotland's Jack Daniels is Famous Grouse.
I say that because JD is the most consumed whiskey by far in the U.S.
And if what I read is true FG is the most consumed in Scotland.
Dose Scotland have Rednecks?
So tonight I am paying homage to Scotland's Famous Grouse. And I get to use my Famous Grouse cork stopper!
Peat forward, fast moving legs but sweet cookie ,like animal crackers, mint orange zest . Not bad a little vanilla and lemon furniture polish at the finish. I wish it was at least 43%.
Seriously pretty good stuff but not as good as Naked Grouse by a long shot.
I would never say no if offered a glass. It's like a peated Irish Whiskey ,has short bread through out the whole sip.The peat is really only in the arrival ,maybe into the middle.
Naked Grouse is far less pleated with a very well balanced sherry influence.
Of the two I would ask for Naked Grouse every time.
