    Hi Jeff,

Yeah sure, I don't doubt that, it's just not been my experience so far, and so with my limited knowledge of whisky, I prefer sticking with what I know I'll like. 'Floral and fruity' ain't really my bag. Much like my favourite red wines, I like full-on 'big hitters'!

Anyway, hope the family and you are doing well over the pond, with all the crap that's going on now!

    Marco.

What it is Marco ,is a not so silent coupt de tah , Covid was bad enough, everything is being turned upside down to create disorder in one big massive push for Marxism.
America is a massive melting pot of people of every stripe and every imaginable culture. And with little exception we all get along pretty well and if you are willing to work there is opportunity for everyone and anyone willing to get their ars out of bed and work. They have called California the golden state for 150 years because of the natural fields of wheat, straw and rye that is dry in the fall and summer so it looks golden.
Most of the fires in the west coast are being set by anarchists . Our news is suppressing what police and fire fighters are reporting. Our cities are being looted and burned by Antifa and black lives matter (BLM) if you look at the pictures of the leaders of BLM they are all white Mellennials.
Using reparations for slavery as an excuse to " Burn it all down". Then install what they believe to be a fair government where everyone gets exactly the same, with out having to better their education or work harder or smarter.
This is what happens when every kid is given a participation award and a giant trophy just for showing up!
We forgot to teach rugged individualisum, perseverance, intestinal fortitude and keeping a stiff upper lip when things don't go your way.
We had 6 cases nation wide in one year of black citizens being killed by white police officers of those 4 where ruled justified after an investigation and or criminal trial.
There is a huge push to defund/disarm and disband police, seize personal property for redistribution and the only man standing up for Law and order, free market economy and the bill of rights is now in hospitable with covid 19!
Other than that it's just peachy. I had to laugh when they asked Trump to denounce the Proud Boys as white supremacists ,they are mostly Hispanics from Cuba! A drinking fraternity! They left Communism to come here and they don't want again.
It is not Trump supporters beating people up burning businesses and looting!
We have gone and protected neighborhoods when police where ordered to stand down though. Sorry but I'm so upset at the state of our nation.
All is wild we opened our new business today in a new location , covid shut down killed the one we had for 9 years.

I have been moving bottles around,I read we should keep whiskey out of the light, so the boxes are out and the clear bottles are inside the cabinet.
I got some really nice rocks glasses, for my serving tray and found a couple tulp whiskey tasting glasses and I like drinking out of them.
Tonight a Glenmorangie quinta rubin 14. I love this stuff heads up Marco its goood!
Next out of the decanter something a little younger Carlyle re-casked in both Bourbon and red wine barrel.

Last of the Aurora bottle... Fortunately I have more

For 3yrs and a day this is fab. Use of small casks is the key.
A sherry finish with mango and papaya. Fairly sweet but with a nice controlled spice all through the end.

    Another of my favs.
    Edradour 10yr old.

Made with the smallest stills in UK, this is meaty with sherry and rum notes along with many others. A complex dram indeed.

if memory serves its finished in sherry barrels for 40 months. which is why its so dark and rich
