Good call. Before getting our Giotto we went around the shops sampling test shots from a whole bunch of different super-auto machines. Most of them made coffee that tasted worse than what we made in our Moka pot. And the steaming facility was crap, bordering on useless. The only super-autos that we tried that tasted half-good were Jura, Gaggia, and maybe a higher end Saeco model. You're far better off using a moka pot and stovetop frother, unless you want to spend close to a thousand or more on a proper machine, because that's what you'd have to shell out to get something that makes good coffee, can actually steam milk properly, AND won't fall apart in six months.Originally Posted by Gazjam

Was originally going to pick up a Delonghi bean to cup automatic, but decided against spending that ammount of cash just on a coffee machine.
Besides, part of the fun I think is being hands on with it.
Half the price and twice the fun.
