Like Marcos Steak pie...it depends who makes the pie....I've seen how they make Mince..and Steak pies...eye holes.. ear holes.. and arse holes..go into them...infact every bit of the cow...not to mention 2/3rds of the pie is porridge oats...mixed with the fattiest gravy imaginable..

because a proper made pie...has only the best cuts of meat in it.....supermarket bought shite is full of gristle, veins, connective tissue and any other ingredient that will bulk out the content that isn't lean meat...a proper pork pie is delicious..as is a proper steak pie...or mince pie...made by someone who is honest....

Some must like them. There are plenty on sale. Glad I don't eat them
The nearest I get is a chicken pie. Had a Tesco roast chicken pie this week. Wasn't bad at all, proper short pastry, plenty of decent chicken pieces and a gravy that actually tasted like gravy. Yes, I know there'll be shortcuts in the recipe, but I wasn't disappointed.

I'm Shane.
The local butcher sells lovely steak & ale pies. I keep away from the supermarket pies.
