From what you are telling me, you really do need to invest in a decent grinder.
If you don’t, then you can forget the thick velvety crema.

I fully intend to, Kev. And it will be purchased along with a decent coffee machine. However, I'll also be retaining the cheapo grinder, from Lidl, for comparison purposes later
