The ironic thing is that before I rewired the living room, running the audio cables under the floor, this latest interruption wouldn't have happened as I could have simply moved the speaker(s) whilst they were still connected.
I have a second system upstairs but that too, like you listening room, is full of stuff moved to make room for the heating engineer to do his work elsewhere around the house.

That's my gut feeling. It's a rogue state. What if there's some international incident while you're there and they intern you? You're at their mercy and the FO just regards that stuff as a total ballache, they'll just do the minimum to help.
