I remember Tennent's lager, during the 70s and early 80s, with the dolly birds on the back of the cans - now *that* was funny! And in the 80s used to drink it as a teenager with my mates, just to get pissed on, but I certainly wouldn't touch it now.

In terms of the bit in bold, you're right, but remember that some of us have been travelling abroad to the likes of France, Italy and Germany since we were kids, and so from an early age, were no strangers to the joys of 'continental lager', thus developed a taste for it to compare with the shite here...
