Mmm.. I would have gone for the preamp first as it's earlier in the chain . TBH it only takes a couple of minutes to swap the fuses around anyway . You would also be surprised at how a DAC will improve with a better power supply . My Denon DAC improved markedly when I substituted the wallwart with a quality linear PSU , so I would try it there too ( unless you like to use the properly rated fuse for each piece of equipment ) .

I've just this minute plugged a Linear PSU into my superhub and initial impressions are very good indeed

My first port of call would be the plug feeding my mains block . Are your amps plugged into the mains block too ?
Where are you fitting the next SR Black mate ?
EDIT : This linear PSU into the Virginmedia superhub has yielded a very nice improvement in SQ BTW . Looks like it will be staying put

Have two SR Blacks in my lash up so far:
* Internally in digital Source (Logitech Transporter)
* IEC Fuse in my Densen Pre
Bigger jump with the Pre, and my original WT(actual)F! post was about the improvement I got with the Transporter.
...next up the IEC fuse for my Dac's linear PSU.
In 30'odd years of hifi hobby-ism, I've never blown a fuse yet.

My 2nd SR Black fuse arrived today.
Where to put it?
Tried pre-amp --- mmm, no definite sq improvement. Real disappointment.
Moved it to the power amp --- ah, yes, better focus, more transparency.
Hmm, curious. Maybe they don't benefit low current draw devices?
But the 2nd fuse is a keeper, too, for the power amp.
Might try it in the DAC.
