With the Hana being LOMC, it's been good to get the Dyna P75 into PE mode so it can stretch its legs.

Don't blame you, Steve - it's a very good cartridge but they're taking the p*ss with the price rise. Got bugger all to do with exchange rates imho (as I said elsewhere, the GBP is at its 2nd highest level against the JPY since July'16) they priced them to sell to start with, the cartridges became popular and are now trying to rake it in.

Funny how other stuff (also from Japan) has only risen a small amount, and some not at all.
    Richard.

    Round & round bits: LP12/Cirkus/Kore/Herc II/Roksan Nima/Hana EL
Megabits: Bluesound Node 2i/TEAC UD-H01 dac
Making it louder bits: Phonostage: Dynavector P75 Amp: Cyrus 8vs/PSX-R Speakers: Royd Sintra II
Connecting it together bits i/c's: Flashback Premier. Speaker cables: Van Damme Hifi

You hit the nail right on the head Richard. I heard one of these cartridges at the last NEBO and once fettled i could hear it's strengths. I started to look around a few days ago and happened across the thread about the price hike. I read it the same as you "taking the piss". It happens with everything that gets a recommendation or good review. I think i will be looking for an alternative based on that.

Thanks Steve - you're most kind.

As to the Hana cartridges, armed with the knowledge of the price-rise, I'd be looking at other stuff too.

Had this low-mileage Hana not come up, I'd have pulled the trigger on a PTG. Lovely cartridge.

Hi Richard, how much are the Hana cartridges now?

I've decided I've had enough of the OC9 MLII, it's just too mean and analytical.
