    Thanks fellas.

Been 25 years since I last owned an LP12 - been spending the last few weeks searching for something to buy (up to around £1.5k) but in the end thought 'fuggit...I'll search out a decent used Sondek'. This is a 67*** Pre-Cirkus/Valhalla. Got the Ittok from Cymbiosis - in equally beautiful condition, boxed and with warranty.

    1. Yes, I know (from experience) I could get something better sounding for the money.
    2. It'll need a bit of a 'tweak' now and then.
    3. It ain't the most un-coloured bit of kit ever made.

    However,

This one's in almost time-warp condition (Peter at Cymbiosis says I've got myself a very fine example) being virtually spotless outside and in. It does sound pretty darn good too. 'Pride of ownership' is sky-high put it that way.

It will of course be at Scalford.
    Richard.

You always take a nice picture but you have rather excelled yourself with your recent LP12 pics .

Many thanks, Mark - although I'll admit she's quite a photogenic old bird.

Thanks Deano - it's definitely helped by it being a very photogenic bit of kit.

Be honest, have you dumped that pic through some image processing s/w? It kind of doesn't look real - in a very good way.

Hi Justin - this was a SOOC jpeg from my Fuji X-Pro2 put through Lightroom CC. The only processing was to lift the shadows slightly so the blacks retained a little bit of texture. Rear lighting was from a MagLite placed under the top glass shelf, light from the front is from the living room window which was just enough to bring out the wood texture. A slight vignette added to focus the eye into the centre of the photo. There's no direct lighting on the turntable, it's all from the walls being lit by the torch which softens everything up. Long exposure smooths the platter/lp.

I don't like doing much (if any) processing as to be honest I'm crap at it.

Well it looks blinking fab on my LG OLED right now, if a bit surreal. Saw it on Pink Fish too.

    Good work, keep it up.
