Bargains on ebay? (Part 2)

I've seen everything now - a Sugden Connoisseur idler (which cost about 3s 4d back in the - mono - day, tiny motor and far, far short of Garrard 301 performance), bit of chipboard and hammerite, that'll be 800 smackers please. Just becase it was allegedly used 'at the BBC'.

Not the worst motor unit in the world, but - no tonearm, cheesy plinth, platter scraping and sold as 'needing a refurb' (good luck getting any parts) ... worth about £75 maybe?

I had the Craftsman model, didn't get on with it, got rid many decades ago.

Well this gem arrived today via gumtree called within 10 mins of the ad going live and to my surprise was still available price agreed half hour drive to verwood and shes mine....

Very good price and is for the KEEP collection..

What the AVO? It's a British made analogue multimeter: big, back and Bakelite! (The name AVO came from Amps Volts and Ohms, since the meter could measure current, voltage and resistance.)
