I sold my 'as new' Heresy's for not a great deal more than that... what is wrong with Emporium Hifi as they always seem to be overpriced to me..?
Virtually everything Emporium Hi-Fi sell is IMO overpriced; or has been 'fiddled with', so is not in an unmolested condition.

I assume it's like a second hand car dealer where they have found out that most of their punters will want a bit off the asking price as a matter of course. So gives them some room to haggle and still make money.

Or they paid too much for it in the first place and have to overprice it to make anything on it.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

    Or Coral or Foster (Fostex).

I actually have a biggish pair of old Mitsubishi Diatone speakers. My daughter uses them in her bedroom.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Excellent, might sound fine, I remember the Alba Integra 4000 amplifier was popular a long time ago. There was also the UA range, almost forgotten about those.

I always liked Teleton stuff, only one item I came across that was not so good, the Teleton GT 202 tuner, cosmetically matched the SAQ206 etc. made nicely, worked fine, apart from too hissy on FM Stereo, despite a good aerial input. I tried several samples, shame.
