They have the sound in the cinema so loud nowadays that communication by whispering is imposible in any case.

I miss the old days with Pearl & Dean, the suporting feature, the ice cream girls, and the smoking section. It's all too corporate and sanitised now.

I rarely go to the cinema these days. Apparently, when I was a nipper me and my sisters used to go to a local makeshift cinema known as 'the fleapit' every week. I have absolutely no recollection of going there, what it looked like, or what films we saw (mainly cartoons, according to my sisters). What's equally bizarre is that I have no memory of going to church on the first Friday of every month, which I must have done for ten or more years.

Your fragile child mind must have blotted out the experience. Not surprising in the case of church. I still credit church and latin lessons for instilling in me a quite amazing capacity to tolerate long periods of intense boredom.

    Via You Tube

The Last Days on Mars - ok sci fi horror film from a few years ago, good cast, well done effects, ultimately been done before.

Martian Chronicles - TV series from the late 70s. Recall enjoying this at the time, but not seen it in years.
