Question From UK to EU plugs

I'm moving from London to Stockholm next month and wondered if there is a smart way to handle power sources for my HiFi?

Currently only my TT has an external PSU, all other items are mains powered via a couple of powerboards plugged into the wall. Amp is directly plugged into the wall.

Simplest solution would plug adaptors on the powerboards. What's the opinion on using plug adaptors?

Is worth spending getting a better quality powerboard - currently they're quite basic, fused / surge-protected. I could buy a better UK powerboard and change the its plug to an EU fitting.

Is there a better option still that is not too expensive? Any advice greatly appreciated.

This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Plug adapters work fine. I have 2 6 way blocks as it is. Changing to French ones would be tidier because they are smaller but kettle leads start at 10 euros here. I will change the plugs on the 6way to French because I want the adapters for UK visitors, wall warts and the like, but adapters work fine for now.

(they have to be upside-down which can be a pain - another reason for changing to French plugs where possible. But not for items like the hifi and my office where a multi-way adapter is always going to be required. Until I start buying French equipment of course...)

So just get something like this (from the other thread): http://www.britishaudiostore.com/met...ion-box-6-way/

And rewire the plug for Schuko EU plug?

Having looked into it, I think I bought them from Conrad through eBay.
Prices start around €3 + postage

Ta! I have just , finally , succeeded in setting up ebay.fr, and creating a french paypal account. What a ball-aching nightmare of a business that is, when you let the dark-ages french banking system mix with the elaborate id verification of paypal. Still, made it now. I don't suppose you know anybody wants a fridge freezer - collect only, from Granes? Thought not. Apologies for the thread drift

Embrace the opportunity to get the fuses out of your plugs.
