Cavalcanti directs an adaptation of a short story by Graham Greene. A favourite film, for me this is a tribute to the determination and resilience of my Grandparents' generation who stood firm when the whole world thought they were done for. Super theme tune by William Walton (from 'A Wartime Sketchbook' (1941/2)) and excellent performances all round. Even features our own Gloucestershire Regiment as extras. The script's a corker too ~

I just find it funny that they would think to pick up on that, that it was so outlandish that you would cross a seven it raises suspicion right away.
