    Lovely table the Sony. It's long been on my wanted list. Not so urgent now I bought a Toshiba SR370. I'll get one eventually I think just to scratch the itch.

    It does make that end of the room look rather sparse but the speakers sound so much better now they can 'breathe' (and I have already had a bit of a boogie)

    That's better - it was like looking at the world of Mister Soft before.

    I was reading somewhere that you want the area around the speakers sparsely damped and the listening area well damped. Seems to make sense. have you tried the speakers a bit further out or is that the optimum position established>
