The superb Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie star in this 4 series boxset which is one of my favorites, although series 4 is a little lower in quality tbf. 20's/30's life for the wealthy was, lets face it, rather good.The title music is superb too

I've got that box set seen them all a few times from when they were first on. Really well done stuff.
Just watching 'The Civil War' - Ken Burn's incredibly long and detailed history of the American Civil War. On PBS America.

Excellent! I have that boxed set and for me Fry and Laurie are Jeeves and Wooster, they have made those characters their own; much in the same way David Suchet has made the role of Poirot his own.Jeeves and Wooster from way back in 1990-ish. has it really been that long?

Also agree regarding your disappointment with the Series 4 episodes, where they are relocated to America. I found the storylines contrived and the 'difficult' return to the UK for the two main characters, unbelievable!

I read that all the episodes were based on the books and the reason they stopped making them was because they ran out of material and old PG wasn't around to write any more.

Frankenstein Chronicles - ITV Encore
Excellent Gothic tale, based around, the investigation of grave robbing, child trafficking, murder and secret medical experiments. A child's body is washed up, but the body is an amalgam of the bodies of numerous children. A river policeman John Marlott, haunted by the death of his wife and child, investigates the possibility that Mary Shelley's book Frankenstein might be the influence for the nature of the body.
Well executed drama, that lifts the fairly murky veil on society at the time, including the very dark and nasty means by which medicine and science was pursued by some.
Haunting and atmospheric.

Bit of a Netflix marathon of late... (as you do)
Watched House Of Cards with Kevin Spacey.
American remake of the British original series. Set in American politics obviously, but for those that remember the original, Spacey is equally Machiavellian as Ian Richardson.
Interestingly, the two original writers of the British series were Executive Producers and writers on the US Show.
Well worth a watch, bloody great TV.
Also,
Jessica Jones on Netflix.
New Marvel series, apparently opening up a new branch in the Marvel franchise.
Its good TV, well done just like Daredevil. (Another strong reccy)
