    The Tannoy J95 ia a tall, floorstanding loudspeaker finished in real wood veneers. The cabinet size and construction together with the driver configuration produces a fast accurate bass with good dynamic response and low overhang. Additional damping and mass loading is facilitated by a space at the base which may be fill with dry sand or lead shot. By reducing the centre of gravity this, together with the floor coupling spikes, keeps the speakers from rocking and thus reducing the dynamic quality of the system.

    The arm looks like a Decca FFSS/Garrard headshell 'mongrel'!

    It's not the tidiest example, but I reckon there'll be a mad scramble of bids right at the end and it will sell for around £400.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Interestingly, it is a genuine arm. It's a version of the Deram tonearm (which could, obviously only take a plug-in Deram ceramic cartridge) but meant that you could fit any cartridge.
    Engineers: fixing problems you didn't know you had in ways you don't understand.
