In Brighton at the Marlborough Theatre as part of the Brighton Early Music Festival. http://www.bremf.org.uk/ Great fun from a highly talented bunch of young musicians. Set us up nicely for a Halloween night in Brighton (where they really go for it!).

The Unthanks at Margate theatre last week. Lovely old theatre it was too. Great acoustics.
The band themselves were on fine form. Played a spellbinding version of 'Annachie Gordon' and also an understated 'Shipbuilding'. I'm fast becoming a big fan.

Slayer and Anthrax in Leeds last night.
Great thrash metal reunion with a bunch of guys I used to go to metal gigs with, the last time these five were all in the place was at least 20 years ago.
What a night, we got drunk and thoroughly deafened and enjoyed moshing like we were teenagers again.
