Here we go again. Just ordered these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221472104176

They'll probably be used with another pair of smaller full range high impedance drivers I have my eye on and super tweeters.

Got so many projects in hand it's getting daft!

Yes. I've bought from this seller before. All excellent stuff.

Looks like I'm going idler again. Just bought a really sad looking GL75 off eBay. Going by the photos, the arm is trashed and the steel top plate will need a full refurb. Hopefully the main bearing, motor and idler, platter underside will be OK. Still, plenty of used spares available and I know these TTs well enough, having rebuilt loads. I'll see how bad things are when it arrives. This will not be a restoration, it will be a custom rebuild job. It was only £30 (+ carriage), so I can afford to bung a few quid at it!

    Anybody got some speed decals?

This revolting object is my next project, a Goldring Lenco GL75 (see post 72):

Probably about the tenth one I've owned. I have another on the way too and many spare parts.

I've always liked the sound from these and have decided to put a definitive example (or two) together!

It's going to need more than that!

The arm is only fit for the bin, as is the plinth. Not keeping them anyway. The platter has digs in the edge, corrosion pitting top and underside and even has little dings from something sharp in the machined finish that the idler wheel runs against. I have ideas for sorting that, The main bearing and idler wheel look OK. All the controls and levers seem to function. Motor looks alright, not tested yet (may do that in a minute).
