I would say they are deceived. What is concerning is the amount of power they have in society. If you follow the link and read it, you will see just how difficult it was to get this film seen. I think they have cleaned up their act a bit since then
. They don't like being regarded as a cult and I think that is not unreasonable. There are alternative options that offer similarly hard to swallow fayre and they are not considered cults. I'm Catholic but I could end up in hell tomorrow beign told the right answer was Scientology.
