Many thanks to Surayne for the sale of a pair of Quad 510 monoblock amplifiers. A real gentleman - great communication with personal delivery and hand-over in the car park of a certain services on the M25; saving me the additional expense of a courier.

I'm delighted with my new "summer amps" (all will be revealed in due course).

    Thanks again Surayne.

You should be able to refinish those Quad power amps, the actual facia plates look ok it's just the removable top & bottom edge aswell as the grab handles/sinks that are chipped up..

    Hi André

Yes, the black grab handles/heatsinks will no problem, but the top and bottom edge are finished in Quad 'bronze', which is more difficult to touch up. You used to be able to get the paint on eBay but it is no longer available. There is a Volvo car paint that is very close match, so I may get my local car service/repair place to do an entire re-spray. Actually the amps are in better cosmetic condition than the photos would lead you believe.

And here's me saying one of my objectives for 2015 was to dispose of excess equipment! I will - in time.

    Thumbs up for Geoff (Geoff101)
Went to listen to a few TT's he had available, and went home with two of them - both for very fair prices. Top bloke to deal with - he even gave me an LP to listen to when I got home as I had no vinyl. Thanks Geoff for an enjoyable transaction.
