You can check if you wrote the IP address correctly. Then be careful when entering the remote directory path, especially if there are some slashes, they should be this way: "/". Also check the user name and password, if you don't define any name and password in your NAS, you should enter "guest" for the user name field and leave the password field empty. I'm not so sure for the last thing (I'm using now Runeaudio and can't remeber how was exactly in Volumio)

Only problem is that you need a special program to format a large HDD to fat32. Fat32 is the usual format of usb memory sticks. So you could try with a stick.
I've mounted external HDD with NTFS file system without any problem.

Having assembled the combo I spent the last hour listening to PI-DAC+ via headphone socket. Very insightful of the music, excellent value

Well ... having waited all week for confirmation of despatch I have heard nothing so can only assume they have run out (again) and I am back on the 'waiting list'
Would be nice to hear from either Tindie or IQaudio what's going on

To be honest I find taking payment but failing to inform the customer what the hell is happening re. delivery a bit of a half-arsed way to do business in the 21st C...

I would agree with that, the money is no longer in my bank account but in iQaudios... sounds like Gordon needs an administration assistant to keep his customers informed. Unfortunately a common problem with small businesses that grow too fast. Luckily I'm patient and I have faith in the goodwill of Gordon.

We're ploughing through the orders and as listed on Tindie we expect to ship all this week - that's the plan.

FYI - Tindie take payment, and the vendor gets paid once the item has been shipped. Tindie's support email address is support@tindie.com, tindie also state that vendors have 2 weeks to dispatch goods.

You do not get put back on a waiting list.

I know there are a large number of posts in this thread so maybe you are not reading them all - I posted an update the other day here. Sorry if you missed it.

HTH and you'll have your items as soon as I can get back to packing and sending :-)

    Very best regards,

    Gordon

If I had an administrator the costs of product would be doubled :-)

Its arrived yay! Unfortunately the gremlins must have been watching and came out in force LOL.

Totally unrelated, I could not get the downstairs WiFi working, eventually had to change the channel and re-boot everything, 30 mins wasted!

Then decided to add the IQ DAC to the RPi hard wired to my TDA1541A DAC, this seemed to be OK...SSH in add the overlay to config.txt, reboot and fire up iPeng....it briefly saw the RPi then shutdown...hmmm. Could not get this working, not sure if there is a conflict with the overlay for the HiFiBerry DAC so decided to try another RPi. Another 30 mins wasted!

Built second RPi into IQAudio case but could not assemble!!!! First, one of the standoffs had a faulty thread so spent 20 mins finding a 2.5mm tap in the garage to re-thread it. Then had an issue with the two PCB 'flashing break off/snap off' points on the IQdac that must join the boards together in manufacture, these foul the case side so they had to be filled off - Gordon you may want to look into this....

Decided to have a coffee break and then plugged it all in, great no more issues it works!

Initial thoughts are it is very clean and neutral sounding, great detail and nothing obviously out of order...just need to find some time to properly compare with the TDA...
