    No, no notification at all.

I asked earlier... I was told it would be this week sometime. Still waiting. Maybe the man himself could share some light?

I believe they have to test the batch of 250 before dispatch will commence. We have waited 7 to 8 weeks, a little longer is better than receiving a defective card.

So far... er so good with no sound... lol

Volumio is working in my browser, plugged the USB drive in and it's updated with the file list. All files are visible and playable, obviously with no sound at the mo.
Plug headphones into the 3.5mm jack and you will have sound!

cheers, steve...lol didn't think of that. Got audio.

OK.. well, I've got audio but only when I put a track or an album in to the playlist. It doesn't seem to play a file if I select it and press play.

    Is this how it works?

Secondly.. I've just clicked 'turn off' via volumio and the rpi is taking ages to turn off. The green light is going for it big time and the network light is too.

Yet when I try to access it, via Volumio (using the same details, which have been stored and saved in the System section), and click on 'Spotify' in the Browse menu (the same as I would to play music stored on my NAS), all that happens is I'm taken to a page that says 'Starred' - and if I click on that, nothing happens!

Any ideas? How do you actually get music from Spotify, by going through Volumio? At the moment it seems as if it's there ready to be used, but somehow needs 'prompting'.....

Have you created ANY playlists in Spotify? It has just dawn on me (I am not using Volumio ATM) Starred is the default Playlist in Spotify. Have you Starred anything? Perhaps you are like me not into playlists - well you either use them or don't play.

Put some music in that Starred playlist and/or create another playlist - store tunes/tracks/music to either of those playlists.

When you connect to Spotify in Volumio both playlists should show, look inside them and there is your music. As I said in my last post search searches all of Spotify so you can find things that way too.

If that doesn't kick start you I really don't know. I am having fun trying to coax Rune to be equally useful with less success - it makes horrid noises like jitter.

I have never been on a forum where people send PMs saying they want answers no matter how nicely worded. I do use PMs to shared ideas with helpful people elsewhere though.

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for that. That kind of makes sense now!

What I was (obviously wrongly) expecting was to click on 'Spotify', in the Browse menu in Volumio, and then be connected to the main menu (web player) of Spotify, where I would thus be able to play my selected music in the normal fashion, but instead of hearing it through the speakers on my laptop, hear it instead through the Pi, and hence my hi-fi system...

However, as usual, none of this is explained by those who've set up the Volumio software/interface - you're just supposed to 'know'!

So..... How do you create a playlist in Spotify? You're correct, I've never bothered with that function before

    Marco.

P.S I'm trying now, but struggling to see how you put tracks into a playlist. It's not exactly self-explanatory or in any way intuitive.....

Ok, I've now worked out (with the help of Justin) how to 'Star' tracks on Spotify and create a playlist.

However, despite having done that, said tracks and playlist still aren't appearing in Volumio, under 'Spotify' in the Browse section (as when I click on Spotify, it still says 'Starred', but there are no tracks visible to select and play). Therefore, the question is this: how do you get Volumio to 'see' the Starred playlist you've set up on Spotify, or transfer it from there to Volumio?

The problem here is that the Volumio software/interface badly lacks any kind of instructions or an 'FAQ'/troubleshooting section. It's all 'trial and error', and so you're just left to fend for yourself, and it simply isn't good enough. That situation really needs to be addressed by the powers that be, ASAP!

@IQ_audio: Gulp! All Pi-DAC+ & AMP+ sold on @tindie in record time. Shipping has started, notifications in chronological order http://t.co/ersFU07QEH

IQ uses Twitter to communicate to a wider customer base then AoS. If you (anyone you, vous) wants the latest then Twitter is where vous will find it. Don't expect IQ to come and make a special visit to AoS, he is a bit busy ATM

Any thoughts on this, Alan (since you seem to be the man 'in the know'):

All I'm managing to do currently is successfully create a Starred playlist in Spotify, but am unable to access that playlist in Volumio, as for some reason the tracks I'm 'starring' aren't appearing there for me to play. If you could help with that, I'd be much obliged.

    Cheers!
