That's really odd Geoff because im not hearing anything like that. Your right they are inoffensive but it certainly aint warm & fluffy that's for sure. Mines had a full re-build tho & i mean a full rebuild. Must be my lug holes, but which ever i love my 'A60' to pieces..

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Look at this, another dodgy vintage Marantz sale:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MARANTZ-1-...-/281660989962

Notice how the start price is exactly the same as that other Marantz 2 monoblock sale AND the demands from the seller are exactly the same and worded the same "No PayPal!" ... and yet is a completely different account.

    Defo someone using hyjacked accounts.

Lots of dubious stuff on eBay. Like the boxed McIntosh valve amps that keep cropping up and the amazing amount of new condition vintage Tannoy black and Silver dual concentric drivers and crossovers from far east sellers, which look very good, but I'm sure are clever repros.

I wouldnt buy anything on ebay if they stated no paypal.

I sold a rega brio r on there recently and the buyer wanted me to post it to a different address and i refused as that leaves you open to no paypal protection if they say they never recieved etc...

It actually says 'Only paypal. No COD." No doubt he has access to the associated paypal account too. Why wouldn't he repeat the exercise? He got over £6000 for the Marantz 2s.
