Marco... because you plug it in directly to the copper, does that mean you are switching leads for when you want to use the Croft?... or are you using some T connectors?

Spotify activation on Pi
Guys,
How do you activate Spotify?
I've got a Premium Spotify account, and have entered my details on the 'Streaming Service' section of the Volumio 'System' control panel, clicked on 'Apply', and all was well, apart from the fact that I can't see how to actually use Spotify....
It did say that a reboot was required, so how do I perform that, if indeed that's what is necessary in order to access Spotify on the Pi? I don't want to upset any technical settings, though, which I wouldn't know how to reset.

In my experience ripped CD,s sound invariably better than vanilla CD probably because of the lack of error correction and technical gubbins going on in transferring the signal via a CD player.Originally Posted by Marco

No-way am I ripping all of those, as a) I can't be arsed, plus I've got the space to keep them in a dedicated room, b) I like using and collecting physical music media, and c) I wish to retain the option of directly comparing playback of a CD, versus streaming of the same music.
There is also the fact that the Sony still has a certain way of presenting music all of its own

not sure I use Picoreplayer and Logitech Media Server, if Volumio uses LMS then you need to go to the advanced LMS settings and reboot from there.

Have you enabled your device (pi/volumio) on your Spotify account. I think you need to log in or your pc and they will give you an option to allow another 'device'
