Picked these up today
I already have the Brahms box set as well as having individual copies of the sonatas but couldn't resist a bargain, however this recording of the Brandenburgs is new to me.

Played the Khach VC twice this eve.
Possibly my favourite violin concerto, although neither here is my 1st choice both are good.

Oh wow, yes! - I have that LP.
Backhaus was a stunning Brahms and Beethoven pianist - leonine power, but with poetic finesse!
