I quite like mine but the tweeter is a bit horrid and i can't get them near a wall except in the alcoves, so they're mid forward and a little shouty, no shortage of drive from the Crown amp though, glad you're enjoying yours especially if you have a vinyl set up, all my gears digital so they're a bit bright.
I'll see how i get on with the KLHs, if i like them there will be a pair of Reffc x-overs going begging for you to try if ya fancy

I got a pair of HB3's for nowt just in time as they were destined for the tip.

Been using them since August and apart from being a pig to drive, if you get the right amp they sound pretty good to me.

Been looking on Ebay for some time now with no luck, have anyone seen a pair of Pioneer PT-406-F2 horn tweeters anywhere, maybe you Geoff, the spares master?

Please don't make the same mistake i made and try replacing the tweeters with supposedly drop in Seas 19TFF1 tweeters hopeless

were pioneer pl12D turntables any good? Having read a little on them tonight they seem to be reasonably well regarded as a budget deck. Ive got a project debut 2 but always quite fancied having something a bit more vintage. There is one on ebay 5 mins from me although my instinct says the £75 starting point is a little high?

I would think they'll average more than that in good condition Keith.


Edit.. Just checked ebay past sales and last 4 in good nick went for an average of about 100/110 quid
