I'm Andrei.
Not too shabby Mika.
I see from the specs that the clearance of the platter is 0.03 mm. Does that preclude the use of a heavy mat and/or record weight?

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Just try to think what it's like trying to get things done and all you can do is just stare that thingie at the equipment rack. Perhaps just have to go out today for a little spin to clear my head..![]()

I'm Mika.
The enclosures of my JBLs have been at local carpenter shop for two weeks and after 1-2 weeks they should be back. So today spent three hours preparing everything for the day when it's time to put everything back together. I cleaned up the drivers from the old installation and added new sealant to their installation rings. Checked also the crossovers and cleaned the dust away. Surprisingly the used internal wiring seems pretty good quality and the ends have been properly soldered with silver, so perhaps wont renew those at this point.
I'm still waiting the new Sonofil stuffing and HQ connectors to arrive. After that I can finalize the new backpanel to replace the old ones with balanced XLR connectors, that I've used with small diy-adapters. Few weeks ago got new lenses from Kenrick Sound and these look sweet and have not the installation kit added..
Next week also my new tonearm, legendary Fidelity Research FR-64X, should arrive for my MS turntable, so plenty of things happening here in near future. Can't really wait to get everything back together again as those small BBC LS3/5A clones really are not enough for me despite not being bad at all..

I just love quality drive units and those JBLs are gorgeous. What exactly are you having done with the cabs Mika?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
