Just back from one of the charity shops in Wrexham, and have picked up the following (all for 50p), on minty vinyl:

Hmm - interesting, you seem to be picking up mainly old obscure recordings recently that I wouldn't personally go near, Marco!
Ok - let's be honest - I'd file them under 'old tat from the attic', but I might be wrong!
There may well be some excellent music making there, I really don't know.

Pianists - Katchen, Solomon - OK, legendary but not to my taste. Cziffra - good. Sargent as a conductor - OKish, occasionally excellent.

I'll post some of my recent listening later.

Cheers! Lol - I wasn’t meaning particularly for you to comment on the charity shop stuff I’d bought recently, but thanks for doing so, and your comments are noted. I’ve not had a chance to listen to any of it yet, but will let you know if I agree with your observations!

Most importantly, I was referring to your own contributions to this section of the forum, on this thread and elsewhere, as after having asked for a classical section, your interest in using the area appears to have tailed off… Perhaps there’s something we could do to make the classical music section more interesting for you? As ever, all constructive feedback is appreciated!
