I think I'd bite the bullet if I was in your situation and send the amp off to Anthony, it would be far less stressful plus I'd have a properly functioning amp to do with what I wished at the end of it. One thing is for sure, Anthony's provenance and reputation are solid which would definitely help your cause should you choose to sell it on

I have read the thread and feel for Geoff. Repairing the amp would be a good starting point.
However, do not forget that this amp is not what Geoff ordered nor paid for in the first place. I do not know Wood products but selling this already second hand and lesser amp would only provide a fraction of the costs paid.
Personally, by principle, I would escalate the case to ensure that the vendor does not do it to someone else.
