Ortofon 2M Red for £63!

Hi Graham,

I recommended the 2M Red over your Concorde in an earlier post as you'll be able to get very precise set up with the protractor and be able to adjust the 2M Red in the headshell. I've also been down the Concorde (Pro S) road. The 2M range is very good indeed. I've had 2M Blue (very good) and now 2M Black (awesome) - lovely carts. From what I've read the entry 2M Red is very hard to beat and at £63.00 it's a no brainer really. Loads on the net but you cant go wrong at that price See attached link:

I agree with Robbie here, I went down the same path from the Concorde to the 2M Bronze. Very satisfied with that upgrade.

you sure did RobbieGong and this is why it has stuck in my mind, therefore went "a hunting" for a deal on this cart. I think Jan2012 will be a good month.

Very simple little things which just screw into the existing threads. They're made of natural rubber apparently, quite soft and whilst the deck can be moved side to side slightly they don't have much up and down movement. Wondering if they strike a good compromise between coupling/de-coupling. I can thump the shelf fairly hard and very little noise gets through to the speakers anyway.

No, but they are the feet used on the OL modded Technics. Personally, I prefer the look of the 50mm Sorbo pods as recommended on the other thread. Cheaper too!
