    Hmmm, well to my ears there was clearly a discernible difference, the sound was more refined, but to be honest I think the cart lost a bit of its character. Other posts have referred to the 'earthiness' of the cart with its original stylus and I would agree with that. It is a more relaxed listen, tending to be a little warm. Personally, I liked it as it is and I sold the Jico on E- bay. My original concern with the cartridge was with higher frequencies which seemed muted and made it seem lifeless, BUT all that was needed was a few more hours of play and it seemed to open up. Overall, I think this cartridge is truly remarkable value as it is.
