Yes, the original has a burnt hole by the looks of it. I have looked at alternative tweeters but then they wouldn't really be SD1s - I prefer to keep items like this as original as possible if I can.

At the start of 2011 Techno Commander had a pair with one shagged. Managed to get a replacement pair so may still have the original that works.

Haven't looked to see what has happened with your listing.

    Oh Andre'… Andre'…

I have another set of two drivers. I think they were badged for various including Howland West. Not as good as the Sharp. Have some Pioneer SE 305s boxed and in excellent condition. Look great and feel really comfortable. Pity about the sound!

I remember Ross headphones being reasonably well thought of.

I have a few pair of different Ross headphones from the same range as the 'RE-272' they don't sound as open to me as the '272'.. However i suppose i'll have to dig the Sharp's out at the weekend see what they are like.. I'll put a pickkie up at the same time..I really really cannot be doing with modern day Headsets..Sold my big AKG's within a month of owning them.

I've just asked Liam at Toe Rag Studios... this is his desk. My speakers used to hang at each side of it.

    An amazing bit of kit.
