Thanks Brian. No, I never dreamt it would develop into the second most popular thread on AoS. It's nice to know members enjoy it.

Shall we change the thread title to 'Some crap I feel attracted to (on eBay)'?

Seriously though this is one of the best threads. It's the kit-fanciers version of 'Spinning Today'

That's some seriously useful info there Paul. I just wish I had the space for them. Would make for some good talking points over a few drinks with visitors.

Decca London ribbon tweeters, very nice! £300 seems a reasonable price by modern standards.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Marco, Like you I'm blessed with a wife who enjoys the music and likes having a good system or two/three in the flat. In fact the only time we have ever disagreed on anything to do with the HiFi is when I said I was considering selling the big Lockwoods as I had received a staggeringly good offer for them. I said we might get a pair of IMFs or TDLs as she had liked the active TDL Studio 1Ms we had before. She just looked at me and said she would prefer to keep the Lockys. I have said it before..... I'm a really lucky bloke.

Ditto... Del loves DEEP and extended BASS, so simply couldn't live with your usual 'WAF-friendly' speakerettes!

A message to anyone stuck in the land of 'SWMBO': grow some
