Well the whole system is apart at the moment, so I can get the TV on the wall. Once I get it all rigged up again I shall make the comparison. But I can't see a DVD player that cost me £22.50 bettering a Meridian that I spent £1200 on.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

"The Station Agent" is an excellent film; though your dog doesn't seem to be too impressed.Here we go. Just set up the DV-717 with the telly I picked up off eBay today, all working nicely. The 32" Toshiba LCD TV was £82, so that's £104.50 spent on this setup for my den! Not bad. Haven't tried it as a CD transport yet.
