Not necessarily anything wrong with it!
Those people get litterally containers worth of recycled electronics and electric equipment from lawnmowers to boutique hifi. They have so much it's just a case of seperating things out and selling them on - often no testing done unless they know it's of value and give it a quick power up.
Think they are officially local government sanctioned recyclers (recyling via re-use).

I'm already watching itBut in that poor condition without remote & of unknown origin even if it does play discs I wouldn't pay more than £50.
Nat is correct, most of the stuff they sell is fully working if a bit scruffy but that's the gamble you take... I'm not much of a betting man so tend to err on the side of caution. Quite often faulty stuff sells in auction for only 10-20% less than a fully working example - I don't know what loons are buying it but they are

I don't know either. The price that some of it goes for just seems mad to me. Mobile phones seems to be the worst. Some seem to think everything has a value. I've seen someone selling an i-phone 3 with the screen smashed to buggery and the upper 1/3 bent back at an angle of about 30% - and there was bids on it! What can you say!?!
