I am curious about the matt you are using, which on is it?
I am looking for a relatively thick one and the one you are using would fit exactly the bill

    cheers
Thank you. The mat is the heavy duty Technics mat - came with the deck from KAB - one of Kevin's recommendations.

If I were picking one on looks alone then MartinT's would be it. Love that tonearm.
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

Default And a few for posterity

You have probably all seen it before, but here it is.

A shot prior to the Mike New bearing, still using washers as headshell weights. AO RB251 with an MP-150

Now with the Mike New bearing, "proper" headshell weights and an AT150MLX.

    Full spec:
    SL1200 Mk II
    Mike New Bearing
MCRU/Long Dog Audio Linear power supply
    Isonoe feet and Techniboots
Audio Origami modified Rega RB251 (Cardas copper litz tonearm cable, silver & copper alloy external cable c/w a separate earth wire and gold plated phono plugs, brass earth pin, chrome rear stub and non concentric heavy chrome counterweight (165gm))
    Audio Technica AT150MLX
Sounds Supports Rega 3 point Armboard and VTA shims.
    Strobe Disabled
    Pitch fader bypassed

Hopefully, I'll update this with pictures of the FX1200 fitted soon, but it will serve as a photographic record of my changes.
