the answer I believe would be most definitely YES. The SL1200 would be the most complicated platter to try and substitute for and that is why some have come off their bikes!! Until now I have only concentrated on the SL but I will consider making them for the SP12 if there are sufficient people interested.

Do you mean the "very thick record" or the energy from the stylus, or both?

It's all happening at the moment - I'm being sent stuff to audition, left right and centre. Currently residing at Marco Towers, for evaluation, is a Bushmaster MKII, Vida phono stage and Jez's new MC head amp, with shortly to arrive another head amp from Paul Hynes, and now the ETP platter....
Looks like I'll not be short of things to do, to while away the dark nights!
