So, back to the ETP platter.
I noticed last night, after playing some epic vinyl (Van Morrison - Common One, Supertramp - Crime of the Century, Dire Straits S/T, Genesis - A Trick of the Tail) that I am really noticing the difference in the acoustic 'envelope' of each recording. By that I mean that which differentiates each one and makes them sound different. It's not that I haven't heard this before, but it's much more starkly evident than I've known until now.
I intended to play with record weights last night but got too tired. I shall try my Bruil weight versus the Stillpoints tonight and see how the ETP responds to each.

Exactly Martin - My findings to a T. The difference in recordings is so evident which made me realise just how good this thing is alongside all the other proper mods combined. I mean recordings sounding 'individual' makes sense when things are 'right'. If you thought your system sounded good / right before ?!! ..................... Glad you're feeling the joy

That is exactly what I have found also. And the amount of detail recovered is astounding. Familiar recordings often reveal things not heard before.
