    Won these earlier, sound very nice with my single ended valve amp.

    While I was collecting them the seller asked if I wanted an old amp he had been using with them for free. As I never pass up a bargain I accepted his kind offer.

    This is what he gave me!

    In need of some TLC but what a nice project.

    Well done!

    There are a few things you can do to the Quad 33 and 405-1 to turn them into a very nice sounding pair.

    Vintage Connoisseur BD1 turntable in plinth. It will no doubt need a bit of fettling, but these sound amazingly good, set up properly.
