Arrived yesterday, less of a bargain at 40 notes was this Sony CD Jukebox (always wanted one, don't know why...). Nice solid sound - sounded even better when I put the CDs in the correct way round

They are but because they're so huge they have a reassuringly solid feel.

That's weird Steve, looking at your kit list we do indeed have the same Technics CDP but I also own, coincidently, a Sony Minidisc player & Sony AV Receiver (albeit slightly different models - MDS-JE520 & DA1200ES).

In my case it's more like 'cheapskate' as I said the CDP was a fiver & the minidisc was £20 from the British Heart Foundation (did buy the AV Receiver new but it was heavily discounted from Richer Sounds)

Main set up today (shame the speakers don't sound as good as they look - time for a change maybe...)

Have you tried them in a different position Roy? They look a bit compromised there & may work better elsewhere.

    Default Free speakers!

Someone at work offered me some speakers (he didn't know what they were, languishing in his garage) naturally I accepted anyway he brought them in today -

MS206s & Kenwood CM-7ES, they've been in the wars a bit but the MSs sound fine (currently blasting out SOTW in the kitchen). Alright for nothing eh?
