It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Are these Tannoy Silver crossovers from South Korea genuine? There seem to have been a few pairs listed recently, so I doubt it. Looking at the photos, there is no chafed paint at the mounting lug screw holes, the metal plug casings look untarnished and the wiring has no signs of age.

Are these monstrously expensive little B&W speakers really worth the money? And this is the second hand price!

'Worth the money' is a relative term, but there are nine of them for that price. It's about half of the retail value, so probably somewhere about right at that.

I know nothing about this model, but these tiddlers would have to be pretty damn good to work out at over a grand a pair, used (plus the odd one). You'd get a pair of far more useful Tannoy System 1200's for maybe less than that! I know where my money would go.

I don't have any feelings either way about these speakers, but to be devil's advocate for a moment, if you know nothing about them, how do you know a Tannoy System 1200 is far more useful?

More sensitive, they'll go louder and sound really nice! Plus, they'll sound like Tannoys. What's the imaging going to be like on the B&Ws with that driver arrangement? I'm sure it won't matter for their intended use in theatres, but in domestic Hi-Fi, probably not so good.

Connoisseur BD1 TT with Audio Technica AT1005 arm, looks like it needs a headshell. Could be a good bargain.

Nice little deck, the same as my first proper Hi-Fi TT, it sounded pretty damn good with an ADC 10E Mk.IV in it.
