Yep - that Batiz organ symphony is fabulous in every way!

Another charity shop LP haul ....



This has always been my fave 4 Seasons. This LP sounds better than the CD transfer in every way.



Hmm - nope, I just don't get on with this series by Jochum.
-- anyone want it for a charitable donation to Cancer Research UK? - it's in very nice condition!



The Solti is another one that doesn't do it for me.

And another ....



And yet another Minter that I don't want to keep -- I must be getting ever fussier in my old age!



It's back to the charity shop with all of the above except the Vivaldi, unless someone here wants them for a charitable donation.

I have the Jochum Bruckner 9th in that series, Jerry, and it has animal intensity, a very impactful performance.

Interesting to hear this once, but I doubt I'll want to hear this recording again. Perfectly decent sound and performance, but not that special.



All very pleasant, but after 5 minutes or so my attention starts to wander .....



Aha! - now we're cookin' with charcoal.

First off yesterday, after postie's visit -->



Interesting! - a transcription for viola and strings of Brahms clarinet quintet.

By gum, it works! Yummy.

The Shosty is awaiting a hearing - that's a transcription of the 13th string quartet.



Then this found its way onto my CDP -- Stunning - I can't stop playing this!
I hadn't realised the slow movements of these sonatas were so beautiful. Gorgeous playing.
