They were complete rubbish! Look at the 'bass' units, they are not original. The replacements are cheap, nasty, full range drivers. Not a speaker I'd touch even in good condition. The tweeters were not known for their durability. Wharfedale speakers were going through a bad patch in the eighties, the speakers were pretty poorly put together.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I bought a very knackered pair of these last year for the tweeters, in order to replace the non-original units in my Leak 3090s. Ironically, the tweeters were the only drivers in the pair of XP2s that still worked!

I cant see them going very high, there's obvious damage to the top left corner of the r/h one.... And what is it with RAM speakers losing their badges !? Were they held on with double sided tape or summat
