I asked about that Denon a while back on the Yahoo tuner group and the info I got back was that it might sound good on a strong signal but the sensitivity is relatively poor. The other specs are the same as the TU-1500RD IIRC. So a TU-800L would be a better bet IMO.

I'm not familiar with Leak speakers but these seem to be sensibly priced... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leak-2030-...item19dc2fcb11

Just won this. Don't laugh but it uses the same turntable as the 'RP1500' i was wanting a spare motor, strobe light & another one of those arms (i rewired yesterday on the vintage rebuild topic), the platter & bearing can go on my DIY RCM, so i guess it was a bargin' enough for me..the rest of it can go to the tip.

Good one André, that's the way to acquire spares
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Don't bother. I've had them. They're nothing to get excited about sonically.

Last pair cost me £6 at a boot sale. Didn't like them much. The 2060 is far better.

Ah right, I did wonder as they appear to use Wharfedale midrange drivers which IMO can be pretty bad.

Today's "Oh dear" listing. Apparently this is an Altec without speakers. Looks like a speaker to me!
