I asked about that Denon a while back on the Yahoo tuner group and the info I got back was that it might sound good on a strong signal but the sensitivity is relatively poor. The other specs are the same as the TU-1500RD IIRC. So a TU-800L would be a better bet IMO.Originally Posted by Audio Al

Just won this. Don't laugh but it uses the same turntable as the 'RP1500' i was wanting a spare motor, strobe light & another one of those arms (i rewired yesterday on the vintage rebuild topic), the platter & bearing can go on my DIY RCM, so i guess it was a bargin' enough for me..the rest of it can go to the tip.

Don't bother. I've had them. They're nothing to get excited about sonically.
Last pair cost me £6 at a boot sale. Didn't like them much. The 2060 is far better.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Ah right, I did wonder as they appear to use Wharfedale midrange drivers which IMO can be pretty bad.
