I also checked out "Love Music" while in Glasgow, not as impressive, mainly Indie/rock, with a smallish selection of other mixed genres and a fair number of second hand items. I bought a used copy of Peter Framptons I'm in you.

Word on the street was that "Mixed up Records" would be the place for me with a large stock of used records to suit most tastes. Bit far from the centre, more of a ride than a walk, but I was told its down an alley that you can park in, so easy to visit. Maybe on my next trip.

Do you mean Banquet Records? Shop with a blue front? I was just about to mention these guys! The staff are really helpful and very knowledgeable about there products. It's nice to meet people who really love music and have a great variety of different tunes.

I really like shopping in there, buying online isn't the same and an HMV store is more like a jumble sale these days, can't find a bloody thing!

I'm off to uddersfield this morning, first stop is 'Vinyl Tap Ltd' records bang across from the Choo Choo station, ive never been there..They actually have a Record Fair 1st Sat of every month too...

Thousands of used records down stairs but nothing for me.. One or two in the record fair but way too expensive. However upstairs in the new records dept i bought the below fuzzies..

Plastic wax at the bottom of Gloucester Rd in Bristol.

Nice selection of everything. Rare and everyday stuff. Even if I go in with less than a fiver I still come out with a decent record or two.

Sound Knowledge in Marlborough, Wilts. Best independent music store in the area by far, IMHO. Good stock, wide variety, all formats, new, not so new and oldies but goodies. Regularly organises, in conjunction with the Azuza Coffee Bar and Club next door, events that provide an opportunity to sample live performances from both up-and-coming and established artists (well and lesser known). Yer main man Roger (picture on right) is a Diamond Geezer, a wealth of knowledge and seems to have been involved in the music business (sales and reproduction) for more years than I'm sure he cares to remember. Having said that, all the people I've ever met on t'other side of the counter (young and not so young) are knowledgeable and bubbling over with enthusiasm .
