Watched the Danny Baker programme, wasn't impressed. His assertion that he looked after his albums was somewhat contradicted when he said he didn't bother about all the weight at the end of the arm business & just stuck a coin on the headshell... (and Jeremy Clarkson's first turntable was a Garrard 86SB...)

Me too. And it looks like tonight's and tomorrow's are just more of the same but with worse music...

I have to hand it to them for some rather excellent favourite album choices, none better than Jeremy Clarkson with Rumours, DSOTM and COTC.

I agree - all the choices were excellent. It was just the waffle went on far too long. Would have made a much better 30 minute programme.

Yes good choices, and waffle, but a tv show about vinyl no matter how much waffle i thought it was fantastic to be viewing such a show, even when mr baker said that the Man LP 'BE GOOD TO YOURSELF' was not a great Lp, to me its one of my all time most played, i love it, c'mon top tune, got to have one of the best middle section of a rock/ prog song ever. Bananas.....

There were quite a few Rega arms and Linn LP12/Ittoks shown in the LP programme. What are they trying to say?

Gosh, didn't Grace Slick look 'matronly'?

I thought the programme was a trifle ropey. They had some great quotes that were badly sequenced to sort of, tell a re-imagining of history. Both this and the Danny Baker programme found it really hard to differentiate the concept of album and vinyl.
