Hmmm ... sorbothane footers ... have you tried without them? I generally find that they tend to dampen the liveliness of the music, slowing things down and reducing dynamic contrast.

Going back the way of Flea SET and Efficient speakers, although not decided on the speakers yet.

I'm stu.
What was wrong with the maggies?
Nothing per-se, absolutely brilliant with dance, electro and 'dream-pop' (The XX etc) but just missed some life with rock and less well recorded stuff.
Love the soundstage (height and width rather than precision) and the seamless integration between the mid and treble panels.

New amp, a lightly used Puresound A10. Little 10wpc from EL84 in PP, which is a lot compared to the Decware Zen I was originally after again.

Nice amp! Is this #5 since I bought the Antique Valvelab monos from you?
I was planning on another decware zen, but they really dont come up very often and the new model is just a bit too expensive to import atm.

Aaah...I just love the look of that little A10; first time I clapped eyes on one at Deco Audio a couple of years ago it's been in the back of my mind ever since.
How does it do driving the Kolts Rob? They seemed to like a bit of current to wake them up so would be interested as to how they fare with the A10.
