Well, I'm amazed at how little the Radfords I spotted a few days ago went for - the seller had a rather low feedback score, so I don't expect that helped.

What has really piqued my interest in this listing Martin is that the chap has developed a magnetically suspended isolation system that will be available from Christmas. I have sent him a message asking if he is considering producing a version for SL12XX's. If so I am willing to give them a try as they could be very good.

That could be just a magnet glued in the top of a plastic tube and a matching magnet repelling it on the top of a shaft, the tube fitting over the shaft. Then just match the strength of the magnets for the weight of the object on top.

'Developed' might be a bit of an exaggeration.. 'Thought about it for 2 seconds and then bothered to actually do something about it' might be more appropriate.

I'm always a bit cynical about 'innovation' on the internet - normally just a bunch of marketing words strung together. Fair play though to those that bother, of course!

Probably based in the Far East, perhaps HK and they have used the Google translator or similar, which (usually) just gives a very poor translation.

Some people say that spelling and grammar do not matter, as long as it can be understood. But I think that good correct spelling and grammar are of the utmost importance in all matters.

Hmmmm....... Everyone is free to use their limited time on this earth as they wish I suppose!

How are you with local grammer and spelling when in other countries? Mine is terrible in the few foreign languages I can speak very basically but people are appreciative and pleased that I've tried.

Yeah, they're the kind of listings to jump on and take the risk(?) and pick up in person so you can check them over first.

Their first sale, no description to speak of, basic photos, £100 postage stated.. Lots of things to put off the hesitant bidder!

I have never seen such sh*t as this, just check out how many errors (grammatical or otherwise ) there are in the description

Uh-huh. So it produces 2 x 20W per channel but can take a 12V DC input of 2A - 5A? The 440W 'peak power' is pure Amstrad.

And since when was there a dimension limit to speakers that an amp can drive?

If i were to buy a modern valve amp it would deffo be a Jadis, not only do they look & sound good, the hard wiring layout is excellent
